A play by Tom McGrath written whilst Tom was resident writer at Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art in the early 1980's. It is a snapshot of life in
Whitfield in particular the Skarne. The story is based around real residents
and their struggle improve the community. The play was Produced by
Nicholas Bone and I was commissioned to create new work for the exhibition,
the work made takes inspiration from the original architects utopian visions
for the estate. Also among the work was a selection of photography by artist
Calum Colvin captured during his stay in Whitfield as a student in the early
80s and 3D Skarne Blocks by Diane Scott , there's was also Jim Howie original
Etching borrowed from the University Museum collection entitled 'Whitfield Dog'.
